Message from the Deputy Minister of Education

Education has been a priority in Sri Lanka from the ancient times. Sri Lanka is in forefront in the literacy rate among the third world countries.

The noble task of moulding a virtuous generation with skills, knowledge and attitudes to face the global challenges of the new millennium Ministry of Education.

The achievement so far gained by the Ministry of Education will be extended further providing equal opportunities for the standards of the school system irrespective of caste, creed language and nationalty.

I wish the Ministry website will be a great boon in providing education for all overcoming geographical barriers updating the clientele constantly.
