new minister1New Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam assumed duties as the minister of education today (13.01.2015) after completing all religious observances.

Addressing the gathering the minister stated that the Ministry of Education has a great responsibility in developing the future of the country and he is very happy to take up that responsibility as the minister of education of the new government. 

 

Expectation of the new government is to introduce an authentic change in the education while identifying the requirements of the era and fulfilling the expectations of the children and the people of the country who hoped for a change and he submitted his ideas on education, in many occasions in the parliament emphasizing the government that only through the physical resource development the education cannot be improved, the minister further expressed. A productive human resource must be created through the education. Though the infrastructure and the physical resources were provided, the proper training and correct guidance is vital the minister stated.
