Three forces and the police join in the island wide school Dengue eradication special program which starts from tomorrow

stopThe Ministry of Education has decided to launch a special Dengue eradication school program on 28th, 29th and 30th of July with the intention of converting all schools in the country into Dengue free zones.

Accordingly, it is expected to implement efficiently these activities in all schools taking the support of regional medical health officers and with the participation of school community including children, parents and the old pupils.

In addition to this, three forces, police and the civil defense force also will join hands with the school community in this special program.

Tomorrow the schools will be held as usual and instead of the educational activities the Sramadana activities for cleaning the school premises will be done during the school hours. In this regard the school children have been given the permission to wear a decent dress to suit the Sramadana activities instead of the school uniform.

The arrangements have been made to continue this Dengue eradication Sramadana campaign next Saturday (29) and Sunday (30) in the schools and surrounding areas. For this also it is expected to obtain the active participation of school community.
