Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) on the guidelines of the Ministry of Education has introduced a scholarship program under “Resurgence Sri Lanka Program” to follow a marketing course online for the students who sat for the first time for G.C.E. (O/L) examination in 2019 and obtained nine A passes. Its inaugural function was held recently (17) at the ministry of education under the leadership of the Secretary of Education Mr. N.H.M. Chithrananda and the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing Mr. Roshan Fernando and the uploading of this Marketing Course to the internet was done by the Secretary of Education. This time 10,201 students have qualified for this course.

A group of male and female students who joined in this inaugural event online expressed their views saying that this program is a special vocational education opportunity for them and the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing answered to the questions they asked about the content of that course and how to connect with it.   

Students can apply for this program from the 1st to 15th of July 2020 and the applications can be obtained by entering the website or using the phone number 0112675000 (slim home).

A number of officers from the ministry and Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) including the Education State Secretary Ranjith Chandrasekara and the Commissioner General of Examinations Mr. Sanath Pujitha joined in this occasion.
